The Restaurant Burehuus is located in the city of Thun, in the Hohmad neighbourhood. The former farmhouse impresses with its warm ambience, modern infrastructure and creative and authentic Swiss cuisine.
The Restaurant Burehuus dates back to 1810. The building was part of a working farm until the 1980s.
The farmhouse has been completely renovated and modernised. Luckily, the history and atmosphere can still be felt throughout the premises.
On warm summer days, it is especially cosy to sit on the beautiful terrace behind the house, surrounded by fruit trees, a vegetable and herb garden and a fountain. Ideal for cosy afternoons, at the weekend with a coffee and dessert, a dinner for two or as your wedding location.
Since the renovation in 2001, the restaurant has been located in the «Stübli», the former residential wing and former farmhouse section of the building. A great deal of attention was paid to detail when consulting the conservation authorities.
The history of the Burehuus can be especially appreciated in the attic of the «Heubühni». The over 200-year-old timber beams enchant our guests again and again - it's an ideal location to host any event
