The history of Restaurant Burehuus dates back to 1810. The current restaurant was actually used as a working farm until the 1980s.

We remain committed to our heritage. That’s why our guests experience moments of rustic charm here.

Our raw ingredients come from regional suppliers and producers, or at least from within Switzerland.

We set the highest standards for the sustainability of our raw materials.

We make sure our travel distances are short.

We try to base our menu on seasonal ingredients as much as possible.

We are actively working to combat food waste and participate in programs such as “Too Good To Go” and “United Against Food Waste.”

We avoid plastic and work with partners and suppliers who also minimize their use of plastic as much as possible.
