We remain true to our roots

The Restaurant Burehuus building dates back to 1810 and was a functional farm until the 1980s.

We are committed to honouring the history. That is why our guests experience «authentic Burehuus» with us.

Love can be found in many small details - starting with the loving care of our vegetable and herb garden, through the interior design to the "burehuus-igen" food creations.

We emphasise the sustainable and environmentally friendly use of raw materials and resources.

What we do:

We grow our own vegetables and herbs in our garden.

Our raw products come from regional or other Swiss suppliers and producers.

We place the highest demands on the sustainability of our raw products.

We select suppliers with short travel distances.

We plan our offerings as seasonally as possible.

We consciously avoid against food waste and participate in programmes like "Too good to go" and "United against foodwaste".

We avoid using plastic and choose partners and suppliers who also choose other materials as often as possible.
